Warranty

Some products sold by WFR may include warranty coverage provided by the original manufacturer or by WFR’s Canadian or U.S. suppliers. WFR will remain the customer’s primary contact for all warranty claims and will coordinate the warranty process on the customer’s behalf.

Where applicable, WFR may submit the claim to the manufacturer or supplier for review and authorization. In these cases:

  • The product may be required to undergo inspection, testing, or documentation requested by the manufacturer or supplier.
  • Repair, replacement, credit, or reimbursement may be subject to manufacturer/supplier approval and availability.
  • Any remedy provided under this Limited Warranty may be fulfilled through WFR’s supplier/manufacturer warranty program.

Regardless of supplier/manufacturer involvement, customers must follow WFR’s warranty claim process, including returning the product to WFR for inspection.

If a supplier or manufacturer declines coverage for a reason that is not a defect in materials or workmanship, the claim will be treated as not approved under this Limited Warranty.

Frontier Product Limited Warranty

(Defects in Materials & Workmanship)

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Applies to: All products sold under the Frontier® brand by WFR Wholesale Fire & Rescue Ltd. (“WFR”)

Warranty Coverage

WFR warrants that Frontier products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for a period of three (3) years from the original date of purchase.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser (or the original owning organization) and only to products purchased through WFR or an authorized WFR sales channel.

What WFR Will Do

If a product is confirmed by WFR to be defective within the warranty period, WFR will, at its option:

  • Repair the product, or
  • Replace the product with the same model or a functionally equivalent model, or
  • If repair/replacement is not practical, issue a credit or refund up to the original purchase price.

Warranty Claim Process (Inspection Required)

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Contact WFR first to obtain claim instructions and (if applicable) an RMA/return reference number.
  2. Provide proof of purchase (invoice number/date), product description, serial number (if applicable), and a brief description of the issue.
  3. The customer must return the product to WFR for inspection.

Return Freight to WFR (Customer Responsibility):

If the customer believes the issue is warranty-related, the customer is responsible for shipping the product to WFR for inspection (freight prepaid by customer).

Return Freight to Customer (WFR Responsibility – if approved):

If WFR confirms the issue is a defect covered by this warranty, WFR will ship the repaired or replacement product back to the customer prepaid.

If the Claim Is Not Approved

If inspection shows the issue is not due to a defect in materials or workmanship, the warranty claim will be denied. In that case:

  • WFR will advise the customer of available repair options (if any) and associated costs, or
  • The product can be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions)

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or consumable parts (e.g., seals, gaskets, o-rings, batteries, bulbs, straps, finishes, decals) unless a defect is confirmed
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation, improper maintenance, or operation outside intended use
  • Modifications, unauthorized repairs, or use of non-approved parts
  • Damage caused by accidents, impacts, dropping, abrasion, corrosion, chemicals, improper storage, or environmental conditions (including freezing)
  • Damage caused by incorrect power supply, surges, wiring, or non-compliant electrical installation (where applicable)
  • Products with removed/altered serial numbers (where applicable)
  • Freight damage (must be reported promptly to the carrier and to WFR)

Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • This warranty is the customer’s exclusive remedy.
  • WFR is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including (but not limited to) downtime, loss of use, loss of revenue, or replacement equipment costs.
  • WFR’s total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

No Other Warranties

Except as stated above, WFR makes no other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

Some provinces/territories do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental/consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to every customer.
