AX Series - TFT’s Jumbo Ball Intake valve has a huge 5.25” (133
mm) diameter waterway giving low friction loss to maximize flow.
Friction loss is 3 psi at 2000 gpm (0.2 bar at 7570 l/min). Designed
for use with 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5 or 6” (89, 102, 114, 127, or 152 mm)
hose. The 30° intake elbow swivels 360° and has multiple positive
detents. Make hose connections in any direction with minimal kinks
and coupling stress. Designed for pressure or vacuum service.
Maximum operating pressure is 250 psi (17 bar). Meets 900 psi
(62 bar) hydrostatic strength test. The aluminum castings are
hardcoat anodized, and TFT-powder coat finished inside and out
for maximum corrosion protection. All the components on the wet
side of the valve are made of hardcoat anodized aluminum alloy
with corrosion resistant coating for additional corrosion protection.
The handwheel or hand crank needs 7-½ turns to close, meeting
NFPA slow close requirements. There is a unique position indicator
that shows the operator if the valve is open, closed or somewhere
in between. The unit comes equipped with a rugged 3/4” (19 mm)
drain valve to quickly drain water from the valve housing. A port for
an optional air bleed valve is incorporated into the design for user
friendly configurability. Hose coupling and truck connections are
attached to the valve using polymer bearing rings which provide
electrical isolation to help prevent galvanic corrosion. Includes
TFT’s adjustable pressure relief valve with a discharge that can
be directed one of four ways and meets NFPA 1901. Contact TFT

AXD Series – TFT’s Jumbo Low Profile Ball intake valve has a
huge 5.25” (133 mm) diameter waterway giving low friction loss to
maximize flow. Designed for use with 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5 or 6” (89, 102, 114,
124, or 152 mm) hose. The 30° intake elbow swivels 360°, has multiple
positive detents. Make hose connections in any direction with minimal
kinks and coupling stress. The valve is designed for pressure or vacuum

(62 bar) hydrostatic strength test. Seven and a half turns of the hand
crank to close the valve meets NFPA slow close requirements. A
reflective position indicator clearly shows the operator the valve’s
position. The handcrank can be specified to operate in the front or the
top of the valve to maximize clearance. A rugged ¼-turn Air Vent at the
top of the valve allows air to be bled quickly. TFT’s adjustable
Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) is installed with the discharge pointing
downward and meets NFPA 1901. All wetted components are aluminum alloys
to prevent galvanic corrosion, and are specially coated for additional
corrosion protection. Hose coupling and truck connections are attached
to the valve using polymer bearing rings which can provide electrical
