The Contender® Commercial Multi Cab is a seamless,
one-of-a-kind crewcab for the fire industry. It not only improves
communication, visibility and airflow, it provides a safe environment for
firefighters, protecting them from the elements, traffic, noise and
confusion at the fire scene. A recess step is located behind the door and
protected from snow, sleet and rain. The Multi Cab can be configured as an
enclosed top mount pump panel, a crew cab or a command center. Stay
protected at the fireground with the Multi Cab.

It is this ability to create a groundbreaking design that
provides improved safety, comfort, and quality that has defined
Pierce. The appearance of the Multi Cab is a perfect balance of
the macho over-the-road truck and the elegance of a fire truck.
Large Crewcab
The seating for four rearward facing firefighters in the crewcab
is the most seating for any one-piece commercial chassis. The
additional heating and air conditioning systems offer an
excellent environment for rehab from heat exhaustion and
exposure to freezing conditions. The spacious crewcab provides
room to easily remove or put on turnout gear. All seating
positions have been pull tested by an independent party to
ensure safety in the event of an accident. This would be an
advantage even with a side-mount pumper.
This crewcab design is available on both the T300 and T800
chassis to allow a wide range of product offerings. The durable
huck bolt cab construction allows a seamless transition between
the standard cab and the crewcab conversion.
- 20 degree angle on the hood, excellent visibility
- Cab hood tilt, 90 degree
- 50 degree cramp angle
- Command Cab
The open cab provides improved communication between the
officer and the firefighters. A work desk can be installed in
the crewcab to provide a command center with excellent
visibility. EMS compartments can be located in the crewcab to
allow easy access and a protected environment.

Enclosed Top Control Pump Panel
An enclosed top control pump panel is well suited to the design
of the Multi Cab. The 6’4” of headroom provides ample clearance
for comfortable pump operation. The windows to the front, sides
and rear provide excellent visibility for the pump operator to
monitor the fire scene. The 6’ 11” high crewcab door allows safe
entrance and egress for the pump operator to move between the
pump panel and the hose connections. The location inside the cab
will allow the pump operator to better hear the radio.
