For anti-icing fluids and de-icing fluids. A single nozzle can be used in two steps to deice as well as anti-ice the aircraft. The operator simply selects the desired fluid and delivery pressure, and the nozzle responds automatically. First, the nozzle is pumped at high flow and high pressure for deicing with 80 GPM at 120 PSI. At this higher flow the nozzle operates in the constant pressure automatic mode at elevated temperatures up to 210º F (99º C). When the deicing is complete the same nozzle is used for anti-icing by reducing the pressure and flow to 20 GPM at 50 PSI. In this reduced flow mode the nozzle acts as a fixed pressure, fixed gallonage anti-icing nozzle with Type 2 or Type 4 fluids. |
| Electric remote nozzles are designed for remote mounting and
do not have an integral valve. The electric remote control extends and
retracts the stream shaper to make the stream narrow or wide. Continued
movement backward will put the nozzle into flush mode. Voltage range is
24-36VDC. All electric remote models have a manual override feature which is
operable at the nozzle by depressing a lever and turning a knob. All moving
parts are enclosed in a rugged, sealed, waterproof housing for protection
from corrosion and damage. The actuator "free wheels" at each end of its
stroke making limit switches unnecessary. The control circuitry is not
supplied for these nozzles. 1.5”-9 NH
