| Valved nozzle with grip, combination, for anti-icing fluids, and deicing fluids. A single nozzle can be used in two steps to deice as well as anti-ice the aircraft. The operator simply selects the desired fluid and system delivery pressure, and the nozzle responds automatically. First, the nozzle is pumped at high flow and high pressure for deicing with 80 GPM at 120 PSI. At this higher flow the nozzle operates in the constant pressure automatic mode at elevated temperatures up to 210º F (99º C). When the deicing is complete the same nozzle is used for anti-icing by reducing the pressure and flow to 20 GPM at 50 PSI. In this reduced flow mode the nozzle acts as a fixed pressure, fixed gallonage anti-icing nozzle for anti-icing fluids. | |
| The nozzle features a manual twist type pattern control with
a flush position and includes a built-in slide valve which reduces
turbulence. This model comes with an insulated grip, which helps to protect
the operator's hands from very low or high temperatures. Color coded pistol
grips are available in black (standard), green, red, blue, orange, yellow,
and white. The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Committee G-12, international aircraft ground deicing group, a subcommittee of the Committee AGE-2 Aircraft Ground Equipment has accepted the following color-coding for deicing and anti-icing fluids. Deicing Fluid — Red with Yellow Stripe Anti-icing Fluid — Green with Yellow Stripe Two pistol grips with the above coding are included with each nozzle if you wish to follow this practice. All pistol grip style nozzles are shipped with black pistol grip and a return card which may be returned to request a free color coded pistol grip of your choice. 1.0" - 11.5 NPT full-time swivel coupling is standard.
