The Scotty Four Litre Foam Kit is specifically designed for use in "Fire Hose Cabinets" where a requirement exists to combat fires with Class A foam liquid concentrates for Class A fuel fires or small Class B flammable liquid fires with 1% AFFF Freeze Protected concentrate. The flow rate of the unit is 40 gpm with a minimum induction rate of 1% with both concentrates.
The Scotty Four Litre Foam Kit has application in Educational, Industrial Facilities, Institutional, Nursing Homes, Apartment Buildings, Underground Parking Garages and Hotels. A special shipboard application exists on all vessels because Class A foam improves the performance of water on a fire three to five times.
The body of the unit is moulded from glass reinforced hylon for strength and durability. It is also resistant to corrosion caused by sea water and foam concentrates, electrolysis and UV radiation.
