The Federal Q2B is a beautifully streamlined, chrome-plated siren that commands respect as well as admiration. Based on the unmatched engineering standards of Federal Signal, the Q2B is designed to provide unmatched reliability for long-life operation. The Q2B-012P is a streamlined siren with grille, brake, and chrome finish designed to be pedestal mounted. The Q2B is also offered without the rear housing for flush mounting. A heavy duty coaster clutch is standard on all models. The unique coaster clutch design allows the siren to deliver longer coast-down sound once power is removed. The clutch is subject to very little wear, and requires no service attention or adjustments.

The Q sirens coast for a long time after current is cut off, thereby reducing battery drain. For quick silencing, an electric brake is a standard feature on all Federal Signal Q models. When mounted on emergency vehicles, the Federal model Q delivers powerful warning power, with more sound output than any other electro-mechanical siren on the market today. Add to that coasting ability and durability, and you have the best siren money can buy. The Q sirens measure 10.5"(26.7cm) high x 14"(35.6cm) x 10"(25.4cm) in diameter and weigh 33 lbs (15kg).
