| Federal Signal’s ViewPoint® lighting system is custom designed for large and oversize emergency vehicles. This system outperforms conventional lightbars and offers a wider variety of options. What makes this product so unique is its special design. The ViewPoint system consists of two complementary “half V” units that are unjoined. | |
Regardless of vehicle size, the two sections can be placed at the outer corners for maximum lighting coverage to all angles – front, sides, and intersections. Each ViewPoint system is configured as a paired unit – a left and a right side – in three-pod or four-pod sections. This design makes a ViewPoint system flexible enough for a variety of fire and ambulance applications. With the system consisting of two sections, a V-shaped lighting system can be formed at any point on the vehicle roof. On aerial or ladder trucks where a conventional linear lightbar won’t fit, a ViewPoint system can be installed around such equipment. Each half of the ViewPoint system is angled at 35° with the lighting pods aligned toward the front of the vehicle. This configuration gives you three critical areas of coverage: Forward – to clear traffic when requesting the right-of-way Intersection – three or four independent light sources are visible at the critical 45° angles Sides – to warn traffic when reaching intersections Typically, these three areas of coverage have required three separate lighting units, creating a strain on vehicle electrical systems. A single ViewPoint lighting system provides the same level of coverage but with a significant reduction in current draw.
