- INSTALLER must use a voltmeter to determine which wire and bulb terminal is high beam
12-volt positive before attempting installation.
- Mount switch/flasher unit in desired location.
- Route four conductor cables through firewall to headlights.
- Determine which diagram applies to your vehicle.
- Separate the wires so that the white and brown are at the left side and the yellow and green are at the
right side.
- Cut the wire(s) to the high beam lamp as shown by the “X” in the diagram. This must be within 12 inches
of the lamp.
- Connect the wires from the flasher unit to the lamps as shown in the diagram.
NOTE: If two or more wires have been cut from the lamp, be sure that all wires cut away are connected
to the brown on the left side and yellow on the right side.
- Connect the red wire from the flasher unit to a 12-volt source (fuse panel, master switch, etc.)
This completes the installation of the system.
SPECIAL NOTE: Some Toyotas require the “RED” power lead to be grounded. This is due to a “Reverse
Polarity” lighting system. Only the kit with Wagner Thermal Flasher will work in this case.
Operation
- With the flasher switch “on”, the high-beam headlamps will alternately flash (Wig-Wag). Normal highbeam
operation is interrupted.
- With the flasher switch “off”, normal high-beam operation is restored.
