Installation Instructions
All connections are external. There is no need to open the control box during the installation process.
-
Mount the Traffic Guide Directional Arrow Board on the vehicle as desired.
-
Route the hook up cable from the Arrow Board to the driver’s compartment or wherever the control box to the
positive and negative terminal respectively of a 12 volt power source will be
located.
- Connect bare end of the heavy red and black power leads, which are pre-wired into the control box, to
the positive and negative terminals respectively of a 12 volt power
source.
- Make the connections between the horseshoe connectors on the hookup cable
and the terminal strip on the back of the controller matching the colour
with the name.
-
A mounting bracket is provided for easy installation of the control box.
Determine a suitable position for the mounting bracket and attach it to the
vehicle with appropriate fasteners (not included). Then attach the controller to
the mounting bracket with the bolts and washers provided.
Note: The above wiring connection
instructions assume that the arrow board and controller are mounted facing the
same direction with the arrow board's hookup cable exiting at the bottom
position. If the arrow board and controller are installed facing opposite
directions or if the hookup cable is exiting from the top of the arrow board,
the arrow board will not point in the same direction as indicated by the mode
switch on the controller. If the arrow board points right when the controller
indicates that it is pointing left and vice versa, the situation can be
corrected by switching the following cable-terminal connections.
Brown to Blue
Red to Green
Yellow to Orange
After completing the connections check which direction the arrow
board is flashing and be sure that it coincides with the direction indicated by
the control box.
