mounting bracket bolts and a 1-3/4" hole for the outside pole to pass
through. Remove the Lock Collar from the short outside pole section. (NOTE:
Since water seepage can be a problem with all Thru-The-Roof Mounting Brackets,
they must be sealed with a good grade of silicone caulk around the outside pole
that goes thru the 1-3/4" roof hole and the other four (4) mounting bolts
that hold the TR Bracket set together). Remove the plastic pole protector from
the TR Bracket that is on the short outside pole and tighten, (there is some
adjustment here if you desire the light head higher). With a good grade of
silicone caulk, caulk between the pole and TR Bracket and caulk around each of
the five (5) holes in the cab roof. Slide the outside pole assembly from the top
down. Next slide the other half of the TR Bracket up from the inside and insert
the four (4) nuts and bolts. Do not tighten these four (4) bolts. Tighten the

steel set screws. Work the hand grip up the coil cord and onto the inside pole.
Work the bottom bushing and attached stain relief into place and attach with the
two (2) set screws to hold the bottom bushing in place. Slide the hand grip down
so it rests on the bottom bushing. Screw the strain relief into the bottom
bushing and tighten. Then tighten the strain relief cap. If you feel that the
bottom of the inside Push- Up pole requires support, order the optional HC-2 or
HC-4 Handle Cup.
- Each Thru-The-Roof Extenda-Lite is a permanent installation and you requires
a licensed electrician do the wiring on all 110/220 volt, AC electrical
circuits. Extenda-Lites and all electrical equipment must be wired to a properly
protected circuit breaker box following all National Electrical Codes.
Note: A convenient way to run cords through the body panels or into
the compartments is with the use of a Hubbell SHC-1022 strain relief or its
equal. This will give you a water tight sealed connection and wire protection
all in one.
Black wire to circuit breaker's hot side.
White wire to breaker box's neutral bar.
Green wire to breaker box's ground terminals.
Make sure all wires are ran in areas that will not be hit or abraded. Use wire
ties to hold securely in place.
