Pressure-Matic is a true pressure reducing 1½" or 2½" valve, operated automatically by inner hydraulic controls. No diaphragms, springs or outside controls are involved with the unit, the action being completely dependent upon conditions at the nozzle or sprinkler system. Outlet pressure up to 230 psi is controlled under all flow and no-flow situations. The valve is constructed entirely of brass and is completely tamper proof. It fits all existing cabinets where 1½" or 2½" valves are used. Its open height is no greater than existing fire department hose valves. These valves are available to handle water inlet pressure up to 400 psi which exceeds the highest allowable pressure under NFPA Standard #14. UL, ULC Listed. Weight: 1½"-7½ lbs.; 2½"-10-9/16 lbs. |
| The Pressure-Matic also functions as a shut-off
valve as well as a pressure-regulating valve under both flow and no-flow
conditions. It also simplifies testing. When the Pressure-Matic valves are
used in a fire protection system, the system can be hydrostatically tested
at 200 psi or more as called for by NFPA standards. It is not necessary to
disassemble or blank off the valve or to take other steps to protect
internal parts.
