Operating & Maintenance Instructions
Operating Instructions
  1. Notify the Fire Department immediately
  2. Open door by inserting finger in ring catch and pulling towards you
  3. Be sure that door is opened to full extend parallel with wall
  4. Grasping nozzle, give slight pull which will disengage hose from rack
  5. Proceed to source of fire, directing stream at base of fire
NOTE: Read operating instructions carefully on fire extinguisher as types vary and so do the operating procedures.

Maintenance Instructions
Cabinet
Requires no maintenance, other than to assure that front is flush and catch operates.

Valve
Requires no maintenance, other than to assure that valve has not been tampered with.

Rack
No maintenance required.

Hose
All synthetic hose with latex lining, requires no maintenance other than visual inspection to assure that hose has not been tampered with. After five years of installation hose must be pressure tested and after the next three years and then each two years thereafter. Hose should be re-racked annually.

Nozzle
Requires no maintenance.

Fire Department Connection
Requires no maintenance other than to assure that valve has not been tampered with.

Extinquisher
Requires monthly inspection unless kept in cabinet with approved locking device. If so, a yearly inspection is satisfactory. Read label on fire extinguisher for maintenance as fire extinguisher types vary.
