The AUTOFOAM™ is a variable foam system with an incredible flow range. It automatically maintains the ratio of foam to water to keep giving you the correct percentage at any flow! There really is no comparable system to the AUTOFOAM™, but the closest competitor costs many thousands of dollars more! FRC is dedicated to the notion that providing municipalities with foam capability shouldn’t be so costly.

How is it Better?
Besides the price, lets get a little more technical. Systems that use a fixed orifice type of foam metering can only assure you accurate foam percentages at one particular flow (or in some cases, near to that flow). If that flow changes, you're stuck! With the AUTOFOAM™, this problem is eliminated. We use our tried and true paddlewheel sensors to monitor both the water and foam flow rates continuously in order to adjust an electronic valve to the correct position to maintain foam at almost any flow. You do not need to get a doctorate to operate the AUTOFOAM™. Its very easy to start taking advantage of this system’s potential.

Models
There are two models of the AUTOFOAM™ system, The FS120 is a straight update from our older FSA100 and will have a higher end for BIG flows (2 to 120 gpm of concentrate). This system will continue to have its major application in CFR vehicles, where flows of 2000gpm of Class B foam are common. The FSA060 is designed to have a better low end (0.5 to 60gpm of concentrate) and it’s main market will be municipalities.

Operation
Using the AUTOFOAM™ system is easy! To start pumping foam, simply push the FOAM ON button. The waterproof faceplate is color coded so that you can quickly find the button you need. The upper window will display the selected percentage. The AUTOFOAM™ system will display the last percentage to which it was set. In other words, if you last operated at 3%, the system will display 3% on start-up. If you wish to use a different percentage, you may simply change the setting by using the INC% and DEC% arrows until you arrive at the desired percentage. Then open the valve from your foam tank and away you go!

While you are operating the system, the upper window will display the rate (in GPM) of foam concentrate that you are flowing, while the lower window will display (in GPM) the rate of water flow. The total button allows you to check how many total gallons you have flowed of both water and concentrate. A manual OPEN and CLOSE is provided as a redundant backup. OPEN will manually open the valve and CLOSE will manually shut it. These buttons may never need to be used, but they are there if you need them. When the operation is finished, a red OFF button is used to shut the system down.
