Therefore, local fire departments must be prepared to deliver larger volumes of water to the fire scene by tankers utilizing portable tanks near the scene of the fire. The system includes all adapters, strainers, caps, fittings, and underwater supports. You purchase the straight sections of PVC pipe and elbows locally, saving money and freight.
All adapters in the MAXI-FLOW System are fitted and secured, assuring vacuum-tight joints. Using the detailed guidelines, your own fire department can supervise the digging of a trench below the water reservoir's surface, plus all the other steps needed to install a dry hydrant system. - Hinged brass clapper end cap is heavy enough to swing closed, will not blow off when strainer is back flushed. Corrosion resistant.
- Full size range of hydrant outlets--4"(102mm), 4½"(114mm), 5"(127mm), 6"(152mm). Both male and swivel female available, standard and non-standard threads available.
- Plastic and/or aluminum alloy caps.
- Style 132F long handle female dry hydrant adapter available. Eliminates the need for double female adapters for hook-up.
