Premium all synthetic double jacket fire hose, 400 psi Service Test Pressure

Scope: Hose manufactured to this specification shall be of superior quality and workmanship. The hose will withstand the rough usage of front line fire fighting. Features: Double jacket hose manufactured to this specification shall be tightly woven from filament polyester yarns in the inner and spun polyester in the outer jackets, and be highly abrasion resistant. The hose shall be resistant to most chemicals and petrol products, and resist deterioration due to exposure to UV-rays and ozone. It shall not be affected by rot or mildew. The hose must be of sufficient body and weight to meet the demands of heavy duty fire fighting usage. The hose shall be ULC listed. Performance: The service test pressure of hose made to this specification shall be 400 psi (2758 Kpa). The proof test pressure shall be 800 psi (5516 Kpa), and the burst test pressure of a 3 ft. sample shall be at least 1200 psi (8274 Kpa). Lining: The thermoplastic lining material used in the hose shall be of superior quality. It shall be welded to the inner jacket by the Mertex® lining method, and be smooth yet thin. No glue or other adhesive shall be used. The bond of liner to textile shall be such that separation of the two is all but impossible. Treatment: When requested the hose shall be treated with the Mercedes Permatek® HP treatment which completely saturates each and every fibre of the hose yielding greater abrasion resistance and reduced moisture pickup. Standards: Fire hose manufactured to this specification shall meet and exceed all performance requirements of NFPA 1961, Underwriter's Laboratories and Factory Mutual. |
