A self-locking Storz coupling is a good idea. Twists in hose can cause an ordinary Storz coupling to disconnect unexpectedly, jeopardizing firefighter safety and firefighting efficiency. The self-locking Storz coupling with large area surface latches, is easy to locate and operate even with gloved hands. The latches are made of stainless steel to withstand rough handling and remain rust-free. Designed for maximum 5 ft. lbs. of torque and conform to all NFPA requirements.
