The Fire Hose Winder is a great aid when winding fire hose.
Improves ergonomics as there is less wear and tear on knees and back.
Provides faster mobility because hoses are rolled more quickly.
Improved flexibility by using the winder on several brackets mounted on strategical places.
The hose can be rolled from the centre or either end.
To begin rolling the hose ensure that the top half of the hose is approximately 1.3 feet
(40 cm) longer than the underlying portion of hose. This will ensure that both couplings are
together when the hose is wound. Place the bent hose between the gripping arm and drag it
gently towards you as you start to wind.
When winding, gently lead the hose towards the guard rail. This ensures an evenly
coiled hose. The remaining water in the hose will be drained during this operation.
When finished, the hose will be compact and evenly coiled.
Release the hose by dragging the handle back half a turn. The hose will then
be released from the cylinder.
Place your hands close to the centre of the wound hose and pull the hose off. The operation is complete
in 30 seconds.
