Description: A safety garment for the face. Can be classified as an
interface component as per NFPA Standard #1977 (Appendix ® definition).
Commonly referred to as the Hot Shield facemask or face protector. Mask is
designed with a filter pocket that allows insertion of nearly any low-level,
disposable type particulate nuisance respirator filter with exhalation valve.
Mask can hang loosely around neck until ready for immediate use. Mask uses hook
and loop fasteners to secure around back of neck of wearer.
Main Users: Mask is used by firefighters and other workers in areas
where heat, flame and airborne particulate hazards exist and a self-contained
breathing apparatus is impractical or impossible.
Care: Hand wash mild soap. Dry out of sunlight.

media consists of 2 layers of cotton fiber sandwiching a layer of Activated
Carbon.
