Replacement Parts for PX Series Helmets

1. Chin Strap - Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the chin strap blocks (Figure 2). Replace chin strap and reinstall screws.
2. Faceshield Mounting Hardware - Remove faceshield as described above. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the Delrin blocks. Install new mounting hardware. (Figure 2).
3. Faceshield - Remove spring clip from each knob. Completely remove the tension know (handwheel) by faceshield washers to release faceshield. Reverse process to install new faceshield (Figure 2).
4. Reflective Strips - Remove old reflective strips. Do not use solvents to remove. Install new reflective strips. (Parts diagram)
5. Ear/Neck Protector - The ear/neck protector attaches to the inner shell of the helmet by three velcro strips. To remove the ear/neck protector, grip the helmet firmly in one hand. Firmly grip one end of the ear/neck protector with the other hand and pull down and away from the helmet. To replace, first fasten the ear/neck protector to the velcro strip at the back of the helmet, then fasten the side strips (Figure 3). Ensure the red flannel material on the ear/neck protector faces inward against the head.
6. A. Crown Straps - Remove impact liner and inner shell as described in 6E. Remove keys from inner shell noting the position of straps and headband. Thread new crown straps into headband and install keys in inner shell (Parts Diagram). Make certain that crown straps are not twisted. Red thread on 6-point crown strap indicates side straps. Reinstall impact liner and inner shell into the outer shell and secure it with the chin strap blocks.
   B. Sure-Lock Ratchet Headband - Remove impact liner and disconnect crown straps from inner shell as described in 5. Remove old headband by firmly pulling the front portion of the headband toward the center of the helmet to release the tabs at the white posts. Repeat to remove the rear portion of the headband. Attach new headband by position the vertical adjustment tabs at the front and back of the headband on the white posts and snapping into place.
   C. Brow Pad - The brow pad is attached by velcro. To remove, simply pull from one end. To install new brow pad, wrap brown pad around headband with the foam pad facing the headband with the red fire resistant cotton flannel next to the forehead. Secure the velcro tabs at all points.
   D. Ratchet Height Adjuster - Remove old "U-shaped" adapter at the rear of the headband by pulling adapter toward the center of the helmet to release the tabs at white posts . Remove the adapter from the headband by twisting the key in the headband to align with the slot in the adapter. Replace the adapter with the new "U-shaped" adjuster and reinstall the rear portion of the adjuster to the white posts located in the rear of the inner shell.
   6E. Impact Liner and Inner Shell - Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the Elrin blocks (Figure2). Lift out the impact liner and inner crown assembly (Figure1). To install new assembly, reverse process. Arrow on inner crown assembly should point to back.
