1. Gain access to the filter pocket of your Hot Shield® by first unfastening the small Velcro tabs located inside your Hot Shield® and wrap the elastic straps of the comfort mask around the front of the filter. This will eliminate the possibility of the elastic straps coming into contact with your mouth or nose.
2. Insert the comfort mask into the filter pocket.
3. Important! Make certain the pointed nose section of the filter is centered snugly into the interior pointed nose section of your Hot Shield®. The exhalation valve of the filter should be centered on the round ventilation orifice.
4. Re-fasten the small Velcro® tabs. Now, locate the duckbill shaped section of knit Nomex found at the top center nose bridge area on the inside of your Hot Shield®. With your thumb and forefinger, gently roll and flatten (to gain maximum length) this portion of the knit Nomex fabric. Tuck this piece up and into the nose bridge area of the comfort mask that you installed.
